The ethical constitution of the enterprise

The VEIE™ Enterprise Covenant™ is a foundational institutional covenant — the ethical constitution that applies to every director, officer, employee, volunteer, partner, contractor, and affiliate in the ecosystem.

It lists governing commitments, then codifies explicit promises — to veterans, families, partners, the board, and future leaders — plus annual stewardship commitments.

Its legacy statement redefines success in terms of outcomes and durability — not document count or budget size.

The preamble
The enterprise is grounded in the trust placed by veterans, families, caregivers, and underserved communities — that trust is the mandate.

Annual stewardship
A recurring vow, not a one-time signature
The covenant is renewed through annual stewardship commitments — keeping every signer accountable year over year.
Legacy statement
Success = outcomes & durability
Not document count. Not budget size. The covenant redefines success by what lasts.
How it fits the build-out

Governance module (values layer). The cultural and ethical bedrock that the OCEEWF culture framework operationalizes — this covenant sets the values; OCEEWF turns them into daily practice.

Your Voice

This anchor is a draft until leadership shapes it. As you read:

  • Do stewardship, service, and legacy capture how we actually behave?
  • Where have we felt pressure to trade a value for growth?
  • Who signs it — board only, or every person in the ecosystem?
